Project description

In 2010 Agrofair, COOBANA and the British supermarket COOP UK established a fair-trade certified banana trade chain. In addition, after a visit to the communities of COOBANA workers, a social investment project was developed with assistance of TASTE, with the following components: drinking water (capture of rainwater), sanitation and treatment of grey waters (latrines, septic tanks), cooperative development (massive training programme), computer courses, leadership formation, improved stoves.
